Just the holy wars being fought still...and they were about real estate but not oil. Anytime there is conflict between two religions like this it is being fueled by someone wanting to control the riches and using the zealots to die for them to get it. We are led like sheep.

Yup, they are taking advantage of teenage youth's natural tendancy to rebel against the establishment and authority and unfortunately the teenagers will realize too late that they have been duped. As for the refrugees, they are simply looking for a good meal and who can blame them.

All the systems of the world - Capitalism, Liberalism, Fascism(without Nationalism), Marxism etc - have been converging into one globalist monolith. There have been attacks by Hindu's on Christians in India.
Religious fanaticism is not exclusive to muslims. Human nature is the same everywhere in the world. Greed, fear, and the love of power can twist the most peaceful ideology into a violent movement and there will always be people that can be deceived easily by charismatic leaders into believing they are fighting for a better world.
Look at Christianity, being a Christian and having read the Bible, I do not believe that Jesus advocated violence against people that did believe differently. Unfortunately that is not reflected in the history or even recent history of Christianity
