I think falling in love carries with it some small details that both man and woman would wish to improve, but it MUST not be the person itself.
I think the problem lies on how open minded are we to accept the reality that certain aspects in us should be changed without going to the extent of destroying the relationship but for the common good.
Changement to become a better person is never harmful,,and we are never better until we accept that we aren't yet. how about that ?

I think most of us make adjustments for our partners.
That said...
Generally, demands, ultimatums and expectations of change in our partners are about us not about them, or loving them. The first bit of loving someone is accepting them as they are.
