chris27292729: """ Very challenging situation""" to all of the ""EU".??? my foot!!!! Germany is the EU, all the other countries are subordinates.
I think this is the root of the problem Chris. The overindulgence of Germany to control and over run the whole system of Europe.
Having said that, this is a conundrum that she must settle for the rest of the world.
Solution is nowhere to be found and I believe that is the reason why she is slating for an emergency summit. This should be interesting and if I were there, I would definitely make her eat her own stink for lacking the insight to have foreseen this.

On top of that, the deception that she played underestimates the misery that the whole union is confronted with. Can she now say: "I am sorry but I thought I was doing a good job for them! At your expense."

Al. Solzhenitsyn novel comes to mind, concerning Mrs Merkel.

tomcatwarne: Sorry my first language now is Finnish, apologies,
You don't need to be sorry Tom. It is just that I don't have time to be translating the meaning. I probably will find it out later. In the meantime, I am sure that you are just as anxious as the world as to how Merkel will propose for a solution for this problem. I wouldn't be surprised if she would find a way to alleviate her responsibility and be insisting about her humanitarian motives.
lindsyjones: Headline on the WSJ today is a picture depicting so many migrants stopped at the border in Hungary with uniformed officers guarding the post.
Meantime on the editorial on page A8 is another headline and that is the training of this new workers for the jobs that are assigned.
Note: In the previous post it was the core of the discussion why Germany turned 180 degrees in opening its door to these migrants. It is beyond any doubt, that manpower is indeed the major reason why they are welcomed with more than an open arms.
MPO is that there is a blunder committed on this policy and Europe is in limbo on how to deal with it.
I do have the feelings that Merkel at this time is under pressure of trying to fix what she started.

Eq I also came across this news from the Global Research published in Sept. 5, 2015.
Hungary’s Recipe for Asylum Seekers: “European Christianity is Threatened, Militarization of the Refugee Issue in full Swing”
By Binoy Kampmark Global Research, September 05, 2015 Region: Europe Theme: Police State & Civil Rights, Politics and Religion, Poverty & Social Inequality print 26 25 2 263 Viktor Orbán, Photo by Európa Pont (CC BY 2.0) “Is it not worrying in itself that European Christianity is now barely able to keep Europe Christian?” Viktor Orbán, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Sep 3, 2015
The Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, is getting his figures, and history, muddled. In many contexts, history is often cited, less as an opportunity to inspire than to enrage and enforce a status quo. The better spirits of men and women are left behind, and in place, fear plays takes centre stage.
The human throngs making their way to various European transit points as of this writing have struck fear into the rightwing Orbán government. A range of measures have been enacted, the sort of one would expect from a government in fear of its own life.
These include three-year jail terms for those breaching the razor-wire barrier being built along the Hungarian-Serbian border. Hungarian citizens who collaborate or provide assistance to that end, including aid and shelter, also face state sanctioned punishments.
Obstinance_Works: The luddites are still alive and well. One third of all jobs in the first world will be redundant in the next 10-20 years with a tiny fraction of extremely highly-skilled jobs coming in to replace them. Are we stupid enough to believe that there's any shortage of manpower in real terms?
German gaps in the labour market are being caused by imbalances elsewhere - such as German manufacturing artificially boosted by the low value of the Euro. If there was no Euro you'd have a million German workers freed up right there.
rizlared: Don't be stupid, his generation invented these ideas, us old peple never gave a thought about our country, or worldly affairs when we were his age
So what is the solution of this crisis?...do we ignore or participate?...

Participate. Invite and transport all of them (only 2 million) at the moment in Canada. They are looking for a wealthy country to settle in. Canada is a wealthy country,if am not mistaken.-
