Did hear this week that “World War III” is trending across social media and tweeting jokes about it is all the rage? Surely this “trend” will spice up the conversation around your Thanksgiving dinner table.

If our world is in fact on the verge of WWIII, it is instructive to go back and read President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Thanksgiving Proclamation dated Nov. 8, 1941.

Dragos1: Well, I did not have any turkey and I did not get that piece of áss.
LOL. I had a bowl of soup and some yogurt. I didn't even see any people.... Maybe the full moon scared them all away.
A small boneless turkey breast was thawing-out on Thanksgiving Day and is now in the crockpot deep in water as I plan to prepare turkey stew this afternoon. And never to late to eat turkey before the new year. I did the microwaveable Hormel turkey entrée last Thanksgiving. The people may have been camping out at retailers on Thanksgiving, awaiting black Friday.

Will visit with relatives in a few days and I call it: Thanksgiving Part 2. As for the original first Thanksgiving: I slept through it, with visions of sugar asses twerking in my head.

I am glad you have a family and friends there to celebrate with. Mine have all died or turned away. I am officially starting over as of this new year and after a certain issue is dealt with. And to be honest I don't even know that I will even stay in the USA. But I am not going to stay down. I instead will take this as a chance to make a even better life and meet people that are genuine and not doing things that are two-faced..deceptive. If I am not mistaken I think the menu for tomorrow is oven roasted chicken sandwich with italian salami and some really great coffee Laté.( made by me ) of course. Then!! just for fun I have to wire a new circuit for a cool looking Range. ( it is a electric range that looks like a old wood stove. About 400 pounds! Cast iron. SO I guess it will be a "Black Friday" LOL.

You are very kind. But it is over now (Thanksgiving). And as you can see in my response to "Cuddlingsoul", it was actually a day for me that really showed to me that there are no people here that I thought might still be something or at least civil..(meaning "here" in my city) and I doubt that much will change before Christmas, but I will be doing what I can to make things better. I have to believe there is a chance or what is the point in even trying. And so far I have never been one to "give up" .. Thank You Serena, you have been a sweet heart these last few days and it is appreciated.

Good morning shell ! My goodness, I hope you mend well. Me on the other hand, seems that the appendix is the only organ that's in good condition. Wouldn't be able to eat the food you brought anyway, gluten free here. No more turkey stuffing for me. blues

Going to add, onion, blacked peas, green beans, cabbage and maybe a couple other veggies to the turkey stew.

Take care Shell !

Sounds like you can see some light, as it's not all gloom and doom. I certainly understand having to find or make a change in environment, and adjusting for the future. Happy Thanksgiving, Dragos.
