epirb: There is a difference to the terrorism we have now compared past 60-80's . With some notable exceptions targets used to be more Governmental , elected leaders etc . Now its seems its seems the softer the target the more the chances of an attack . In past media said everything it could to garner support for measures to attack terrorism as to attract sympathy for the victims of the time , our nobility . Now the media do their level best to minimise attacks as its against the general public .

The Washington Post had an article today (gone by the looks ) saying that Islam is a religion not a form of government . There lies the problem . Decent minded people of all political views should see this as a threat against them . Its a pity the liberal left have no independent thought and need to be told by one of their own that there is a problem . Bezos cares little for average anybody and it shows through his plaything , the Washington Post . This is a paper that is not subject to the usual financial restraint over editorial content , ITS KEPT GOING BY STUPID AMERICANS SUPPORTING THE AMAZON GROUP OF COMPANYS SIGNING UP IN DROVES CURRENTLY .

sophiasummer: Waitangi Day here in NZ, no English to be spoken.

Come on!
A mere few signing the treaty would have/maybe spoken Maori.
You cannot celebrate a signing, to bring two together, yet fall back to one language.

That does not encourage the young, it merely encourages a difference.
Which catapults a platform, of one being segregated.

Which One.

More established understanding needs to be shared.

Especially to the young ones, and more driven nailed to the elders.

The modern world is rejecting the American notion that if you disagree with what your government does then the country is forever blameless. The group is at fault; Liberalism is dead.

"Liberalism" is still very much alive in the US as can be seen by the millions taking to the streets against the new american pseudo-fascists and their 'fearless leader' and his 'executive orders'. So far Lady Liberty still stands proud in New York harbour as do the words on her pedestal:the plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty reads: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
Perhaps the new fascist leader will compose a new 'executive order' to remove the statue of Liberty or perhaps to even destroy it altogether. Liberty and Liberalism is still the best hope for the US.

There were more killings and protesting before he became a president.
