Da_Moose: North Korea lacks the technology (by a long shot!) and resources (by even a longer shot) that Canada possesses. The USA and NASA benefited greatly back in the late fifties and early sixties when our myopic Prime Minister cancelled an aviation program second to none! Way back then we were getting very close to Mach 2 flight speeds.
Korea is about political ideology (communism)....in their case, it is an identifiable ideology with a defined geographic perimeter.
I just feel that they are very aggressive or perhaps just a show to make it look like they are not to be ignored.
Da_Moose: My country DOES NOT WISH to establish that kind of power...and yes, Russia, the UK, China, India, Pakistan...all ready to go....TODAY!
But it has been a little over six decades since the last "atomic" attack. We are not without military at present, and, I am just saying that if the world "pushes and forces" us,...unlike a wanna-be like North Korea,...in weeks Canada could become a nuclear country and able to display armament fully able to respond to ALL other nuclear and non-nuclear threats!
Wanna play "hockey?" Give us a couple minutes to lace up the skates!
What I am trying to say is this is NOT the path Canada wishes to follow, but if it comes to a fight, we are definitely not prone to backing down!
I do wonder, however, what the other nuclear countries and the UN would say? Would the US, Russia, and China initiate sanctions against us for wanting to "play in the nuclear sandbox?"
I do believe that when time necessitates such a path, I am sure you are right in your capability. I googled and found that you have an enormous amount of uranium and plutonium, prime ingredients of nuclear power.
Well Moose, I am just hoping that mankind forego that direction.
Da_Moose: Thanks! But I am never one to be careful! One only takes care when one is afraid! I enjoy life far too much to fear it...and,...most fear me! I simply do not crawl under ANY table in fear no matter what this planet dishes out!
Neither do I Moose and I feel the temperament of the majority of the American people led by Trump. I am one of them and I am not afraid. On the contrary, I am mad and furious and that gives me strength to fight back. But today, anyways, according to Cruz, had he been the president, he would go and finish them now.

Yes, we are VERY resource (and technologically) rich...
lindsyjones: Moose, you disappeared there for a while. Nice to see you back.
Spring snow storms have alleviated, for now, the usual spring fire hazard....I should be painting the bathroom instead of sitting in front of the computer,...but that will come all too soon! Heck...it is snowing quite heavy as I type this and look out the kitchen window!

Yes Moose it is the same here in the Mid west. I live both here in Mid West and in California and I am flying back next week but I might just not do it. The airport is so strict it will take 5 hours just checking in. GEES
Anyways, painting inside is not good when the weather is bad isn't it? I mean you can't open the window so indulge with us here for a while, will you?

It might be snowing....but it is only a few degrees below zero! Hell,...open the windows and doors! It surely isn't forty below! I love fresh spring air!

Well get on with the painting then Moose. I know it feels fresh and pretty on a new paint.
