diova: Some people shouldn't be allowed to own pets
Sad but true Diova :sad_flower
He's quiet now, must have found his treat..
Those people are notorious .. they had a Maltese pup some years back, couldn't wait to show me as I had walked my boy past their place everyday and continued to, until he was old and tired
They lost interest in that dog, within a couple of months he was left on the street, barking and chasing cars.
At first I knocked on their door and let them know he was out there .. always some lame excuse about someone leaving the gate open
When it came to them leaving him out there for entire weekends while they were away with no food, water or shelter I called the ranger.
On three occasions.
That thin, frightened little mite roamed the neighbourhood for most of its life until a couple years back, when he 'disappearred'..
So a few weeks back, I was putting my bins out on the street for collection, it was just getting dark and a tiny puppy ran up and jumped around my feet
I scooped him up before he could race up to the busy main road and took him inside.
My son thought he might belong to certain neighbors but they hadn't seen him before..
So I gave him a little bread and milk for his supper, he appeared only a few weeks old, he ran around like a mad thing lol then went to sleep for the night in a lttle bed I made for him.
Next morning I called the local vet, long story short, someone had been looking for him.
I carried him there, on the way a woman pulled over in her car and told me he was missing from No. 14 .. if I'd known then who that was, I wouldn't have taken him to the vet.
I saw him running up the street again a couple of weeks ago.

Oh serene, if only you knew! That is so sad and upsetting. Why the heck to they own pets

Yes I had a feeling of dread when I walked home from the vet Diova .. I was thinking pleease don't make it be that house but, of course, it was
I made the decision to call the vet and let her know about their previous neglect, she assured me that the ranger would be notified and this incident noted on their file for future reference.
Somehow they managed get the pup back again since his last escape, they must have made an enclosure at the side of their house where he'll spend his days and nights alone from here on I guess.
I have had 2 in the last hour and a half here. I am sure its the same one or two that keep making profiles, they must spend more time making email addresses.
That sounds very familiar; we currently have one woman doing just that as she keeps getting kicked off the site for calling people some rather nasty names, but is back within a day; same country, same general area of a large city....So far she's had seven profiles if I'm counting correctly.....
LonelyLass456: Kidnapp him, change his hair colour or shave him and give him to a relative that leaves far far away. Save his life.
Tonight could be the night
It's fricken freezing here at night now, last night I was in my living room snuggled under my heated blanket while that tiny little guy barked in the darkness.
This morning I took him a chew treat, he was so happy for attention that he ran off with it then ran back to me with it in his mouth for another pat.
I noticed that the wire enclosure he's in is low enough for me to reach down and pick him up

leave a note in their letterbox and saying you like their dog and see what happens ?
