One of the the most dangerous and infuentail weapon if it s not the most deadly one , isn t it strange that you can end someone's life by telling him some words , isn t it strange that a single word can make you live in darkness and never find your way out how could words do all of this to us

Oh yes ?
I wonder what hands on trade did you train for, before you became "Executive management" in something unspecified ?
I assure you that if you walked into a traditional hands on workshop and said that aged 31 to people with 30 -40 years trade experience after our training and especially ex servicemen and women, you would be humiliated by laughter, banter and subjected to more verbal sarcasm than you ever knew existed. By your own admission you would have to carried out through the door horizontal for sedation in the sick bay if you think words can do that much damage - Thanks for the laugh we've heard it before rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Words are powerful.

That is why books and learning have always been held in such high esteem in our society.

It's amazing the power we give people over us.
In our search for validation and stroking our ego, we seek popularity and I don't think anyone doesn't like to be liked.

Words are important, extremely important, not least in how we treat others.
People have feelings and in our need to be right, we sometimes forget that.

thumbs up It's not always about popularity...It might be simple basic valuation, that each of us matters in our own unique way.wine

Words and speeches never changed a thing. Doing is key. Words are only powerful coming from people who live by them.

So, you are saying words uttered by your family/friends/loved ones have never affected/influenced your thoughts?

Fickle types who change their minds often, and hypocritical types who say one thing and do another, lose power in the long run. Words are meaningless and forgettable when divorced from substance and integrity, and it is for this reason that a man should always take the words of a woman with a pinch of salt.

BerrySmoothie: ...and sometimes "loved ones" can be cruel with their words. The one we idolise and chose to walk down the aisle with, suddenly turns into a monster.

What I am saying is: words can be a powerful weapon used inappropriately from the very people we thought we could trust.

Words can make me think...but words can not change my life, I can do it...
If I dig into every word someone says then I am doomed...
And if the words can bring you down or give you wings easily, then you have a problem...with yourself!

Words can inspire.

...and words can hurt.

They are powerful.

Choose your words wisely.

Sometimes they're supposed to hurt and offend. Young people and men tend to use words which challenge and desensitise and old people and women tend towards those which soothe and stagnate(apart from my Nan).

Which doesn't mean I'm challenging and insensitive towards a girl in a flood of tears, but nor do I soothe with words. A sympathetic look and shoulder to cry on is the best thing for a woman in hysterics.

Not all women get hysterical when they cry....and sometimes, that's all they may need is a comforting word or hug.

Men need comfort too yanno. professor
