Breitbart Traffic Down As Readers Now Getting Bulk Of News Analysis From Graffiti Scrawled Across Neighborhood


LOS ANGELES—Citing statistics that showed a sharp decline in the number of pageviews and unique users over the past week, media industry observers noted Thursday that traffic to Breitbart.com, the right-wing current affairs and opinion website, has continued to fall as more readers begin getting their news analysis from graffiti scrawled throughout their neighborhoods. “While Breitbart has long been a leading online destination for those on the far right, it is suddenly facing stiff competition from remarks spray-painted across communities nationwide, as many of the site’s regular readers begin looking to the sides of local homes, schools, and mosques for the news and opinions they seek,” said media analyst Meghan Trally, who noted that graffitied commentary across the country, including popular critiques like “Go Home Jews” and “Make America White Again,” appeared to be resonating strongly with the site’s readership, leading to the starkly lower engagement numbers seen on the site’s more recent opinion and editorial pieces. “Breitbart is at a serious disadvantage here. Frankly, the site just can’t compete with the accessibility and the reach that all these spray-painted social, political, and cultural comments have, particularly with their attention-grabbing wordings and their eye-catching use of accompanying smashed windows and crude swastikas. It’s unclear how, or even if, the site can win back its readers’ hearts.” At press time, Breitbart executives were holding meetings with their marketing department about ways to tap into the new platform.

Don't mind ole Raffle there ... I suspect he's a bit of a redneck and possibly that 'feeling anger' is his only way of knowing he's still alive ?

The electorals could very well change in December if there weren't so many needed to reverse it.

It's true to very large degree. How would 37 electorals explain turning coats against their states?

I suspect, though of course I make no claim about 'knowing' that like many people in the USA at this time Raffles is feeling fear and confusion because there is a change underway that he (they) do not understand ... it's not an uncommon psychological effect and, because (most?) people aren't terribly good at understanding their own feelings they are 'open' to being manipulated by people who 'tell them what they should be feeling' but do so for their own agenda!

In a way, and as an outside observer with the objectivity that comes from having 'no direct stake' in the situation I can look at the situation over their as if it were 'any ordinary relationship, or marriage' perhaps ?

Many people are discontent in their marriages and yet they continue on with them ... usually it's fear based 'This is bad, but how much worse it might be if I broke the relationship, it might be outta the frying pan and into the fire'

From my perspective it APPEARS that "The Clintons" have been very deceitful throughout both of their careers and that the people of the USA ( for whom I have high regard) have been very gentle and forgiving towards them ... but they've abused that forgiveness and what we've just seen is the angry row that always precedes a break up. The people (one partner) have had enough and want a divorce, Clinton (the other partner) is willing to ay anything (but does nothing) to repair the relationship ... it's as dysfunctional as the relationship between a a good spouse and an Alcoholic Partner.

The AP has no love to give only empty words and clinical manipulations and it's a very long and painful process for the Good Spouse to extract themselves from such a demeaning and degrading relationship ... if indeed they ever manage such a thing. The AP always promises 'I'll be better, just ONE more chance..."

I'd see yourself ( and some of the other posters here ) as being akin to the Empowered Spouse who decided to make the break with the AP and has held true your own commitment despite the tantrums and emotionally made false promises ... and aye, I can understand those who are struggling as ClintonInc creates havoc in the background ...

I don't have a 'direct stake' in the outcome but the US Govt and the POTUS probably in some way indirectly affect everyone in the world ... it's only sense for me to wish you all well and for the 'internal union' of her people to be a strong cohesive union.

There are processes in place involving congress and even the supreme court system in the events of 270 not being reached by either side and involving electoral related changes.

A small margin it can become likely. I've read that Bush was actually given his presidency through the supreme court to stop the recounts of recounts in Florida because it was so close. I think that was in 2000.

The margin at present is too large. Physical count and electorally.

There are articles circulating with some of the potential reasoning behind the "recount" call. For it to come from some one that never had a chance to begin with is absurd that states will acknowledge it at all.
