lindsyjones: "You have continually created threads to promote fear and hatred towards people, and to promote right wing conservative agenda's and some are happy to follow, as can be seen.
I trust you are getting well paid rewarded for your efforts."

Is this not wrong for you to say this? My threads are created to promote fear and hatred?

You are so wrong. Talking about what is going on, is for me to solve problems, not what you are insinuating. If the people who participate has any agenda of promoting fear and or hate, that is not always controlled . That is exactly what is wrong with you is to judge my writes as fear a hatred promoter. But it is alright for you to put Syria as a thread which is exactly to feel the fiber of every hate and fear.

Have a lack of interest in engaging with you Lyndsay as I have responded in your Epstein thread.
So if you would please refrain from this now I would greatly appreciate it to keep the thread on track.
Thanks

Conrad73: the Mess in Syria will not stop, until Russia has a Regime in place that guaranties Russia Rights to harbor their Fleet in the Mediterranean!
Maybe the world has forgotten, but I doubt Russia has,the Fiasco of their Fleet's disastrous 18'000mile Journey to relieve Port Arthur back in their 1905 War against Japan!
They will try to hold onto their Port-Facilities in Syria at almost any cost!

Think Assad will do whatever Putin wants from now on to be honest.
I would have thought Western powers would have known this before they started funding and arming rebels.
Putin's scorched earth policy just brings more carnage.
The only end result I see to this is Assad regaining control, with Russia have a lot more influence, unfortunately.

Exactly, and next, Putin will be in discussions with Turkey, to ensure the access to the Black sea is open to Russian shipping at any time.
Something is going on in the background and Putin is the catalyst. Frightening stuffmoping

I'd say Putin is sitting back rubbing his hands together with glee at what is happening in the world right now, let alone Syria. His influence is spreading, the puppetmaster, and I completely agree, frightening stuff.

robplum: I believe (so does Putin) it goes to Regan's New World Order of 1984, deliberate intention to destabilize the whole middle east kicked off by george bush in 1991
that's what i believe and so does Putin, they lost 20 million people last time America pulled that stunt

Not so sure about Gulf 1 but Bush 2's decision to invade Iraq is one of the reasons for the current conflict in Syria. He was advised by intelligent people it would be a 2 generation war and it looks like they could be right.
Not sure whats going on covertly but I would guess the ME is infiltrated by the Superpowers looking to exert influence to their own end for sure.

mollybaby: It is like a game.

The 2 superpowers get to fight it out, without ever declaring war.

They pick a battlefield, and the locals are simply pawns.

thumbs up

And people die sigh

Read recently there are 48 million people on food stamps in the US, and we can be sure people are far worse off in Russia for the people. Power and greed is the cause of so much misery.

Taken from Wikipedia

In early September 2013, President Obama told U.S. Senators that the CIA had trained the first 50-man insurgent element and that they had been inserted into Syria. The deployment of this unit and the supplying of weapons may be the first tangible measure of support since the U.S. stated they would begin providing assistance to the opposition. However, the CIA had been facilitating the flow of arms from Libya to Syria "for more than a year" beforehand in collaboration with "the UK, Saudi Arabia and Qatar"; "the operation was largely run out of a covert CIA annex in Benghazi." U.S. military intelligence predicted "the fall of the Assad regime would lead to chaos and, potentially, to Syria's takeover by jihadi extremists, much as was then happening in Libya."

While Wikipedia in and of itself is not 100% accurate there are a myriad of links on the page proving same. Also US admittance of interfering in Syria and funding and arming some of the Rebels.

Am not solely blaming CIA/US as there are so many factors relevant to the situation, but this is a part of it. The rebels were funded by Saudi, Qatar and Britain.
These Rebels who wish to overthrow Assad are responsible for some of the worst atrocities of the war.
