crayons: i dont know what your smokin today hippy, but i have 12 plus computers/machines; 2 of them are new windows 10's and none of them have SD Slots..
Probably the same stuff you must be smoking, seeing as SDs are designed for computers and NOT phones, those are MicroSD, big difference.
But in fairness, many not tech people cannot understand the difference.

Oh, I only have one computer; and it has a SD slot.
But my computer probably cost as much as 2 or 3 of your's.
mykingdomforanam: I'd have to be very very foolish to buy the computer you're talking about.
I have a question for you that has to do with all your computers... Do you have bumper stickers that say... "There's Nothing In Texas But Steers And Queers" ...on all of them?
((laughin))whats the matter? did yer buddy "Brock" forget to send you your monthly Soros signed check?
crayons: you must be smokin some shyyt yourself ChiCom since you dont know the difference between a tiny thin SD card and a Thumb Drive.
Yes of course, the fact that I have been teaching Computer Science for over 30 years and was the Training manager for one of the world's largest Computer manufacturers would mean I obviously no nothing about Computers.
Free lesson for you
A thumb drive is also known as a USB Flash drive, it connects to a computer via a USB port. Whereas an SD card uses a specific SD port or slot.

got an HTC with a 5 inch screen right here that i'm not using. has a slot about the size if your thumb nail that specifically says SD card just like you even mentioned...so whats the problem, ya still cant find any desktop model #'s that accept's SD cards?
thumb drives are the way to go for all data transfers, backups, even complete OS transfers, i have one tech that uses a thumb drive to carry a complete diesel engine tuning program that can be plugged into any old garage desktop....

So that would be a MircoSD, not SD, please sho me any make or model of phone that takes an SD card As for a desktop, I can't be arsed to search through the web for the thousands of computers that have an SD slot, however, if you check any apple computer such as the iMac or iMac mini they all come with an SD slot, to enable easy downloading from a camera or similar.
I have proved my point beyond any doubt, sonny jim, so not going to continue with the charade. I cannot be held responsible if it is beyond your intelligence to understand the difference between an SD card and Micro SD card, but, please feel free to try and force an SD card into your phone, heating it up may help with bending it.

It's True!!!...i was at a phone store not that long ago to replace/reprogram a worn out SIM card and the Puerto Rican did not have the correct size and cut the larger one down to size to make it fit in the slot, "it worked" he even said he could make the small ones fit the large slots.
he says he makes generic SD cards fit different slots as well because there are too many for him to keep in stock.
so like i said; heavy duty thumb drives are the way to go for desk tops... and probably laptops as well"one size fits all".
