pastafarian: yes, it was the one and only time I actually came face to face, and I have not seen a craft since either, however, other 'events' have happened to me, but perhaps here is not the right place to chat about it though...

A lot of similar stories are based on hypnagogia.

DaMooseLives: A UFO is just that....a flying object you could not identify.
Also just because a UFO can go from zero miles and hour to 60000 mph in a blink of an does not mean the thing is of earths origin.dunno
But then again something like I seen was neat to see.beer

stephenbadger: About January 2016, l spotted a big red UFO up in the heavens travelling east ...besides the bright red colour, what really got my attention was when it abruptly changed direction & headed north.

No, it wasn't a chinese lantern or a helicopter or a satellite ...at the time l did a thread & people tried to locate it, through the Observatories

Hypnagogia is the experience of the transitional state from wakefulness to sleep: the hypnagogic state of consciousness, during the onset of sleep. Mental phenomena that occur during this "threshold consciousness" phase include lucid thought, lucid dreaming, hallucinations, and sleep paralysis... with thanks to Mr Google...

I am aware of this and other possible reasons, but in the first instance I was only an hour into the journey after a solid 8 hour sleep, showered, fed and fully awake...

I just did a quick tally, 8 UFO's between 1975 and 2004. Of those 8 sightings, I was on my own just three times.

The first one I was just 14, it was around midnight and I was with a group of 5 other people, the oldest being around 20. We'd been fishing on a small island about one kilometre off shore. The island joined the mainland via a walkway that was wide enough to drive a car across. We were right in the middle of the walkway when "It" passed directly over us coming from the north and heading south. To the north of the bay are hills. It was the height of summer and we had been watching that direction for at least an hour because of the glow We had postulated there was a bush fire raging somewhere deep inside them. When it appeared we all stopped. We'd been talking and joking but I hadn't been able to take my eyes off the glow and had just commented the glow had suddenly become much brighter. Then it appeared moving at incredible velocity. Think of the Moon in the night sky, now place 3 on either side and 3 above and below and consider it as a solid light. That's how large this thing was and it was only just above the one or two clouds that hung in the sky. I remember counting off the seconds it took from the moment I first saw it, which for me was the instant it appeared, as I was already looking directly in that direction, to the moment it completely vanished. It was between 2 and 3 seconds. It lit up the bay as if it was daytime and then like a light globe being turned off the entire bay went black. It didn't disappear into the distance or suddenly accelerate, about a mile north of our position it vanished completely and the entire bay instantly returned to darkness. It was moving so fast it looked like a comet with a tail stretching far behind it. I later estimated its speed at around 15,000 mph At 14 I was still using miles per hour not kilometres but according to the calculator that's 24,000 kph. Interestingly, when I turned back to the hills, the glow was no longer there. So much for the bush fire theory.

The best, clearest, and most definitive occurred just before 7am in April 1998. I was alone. The sun was not yet up but the sky was clear and blue and sun rise was less than 15 minutes away, so it was very close to full daylight. On that morning I saw a large silver / aluminium colored disc shaped craft. It was as long and as wide as a 747 but completely round in shape, without any type of wing structure. It had been hovering silently approximately 300 metres from the ground, almost directly over my house. As it moved off slowly, walking pace slowly, it passed directly over my head, so I got a very, very good look at it. Unlike those in the movies etc it was not spinning or changing colors. I could not see anything that resembled a window but at the rear it had a large slat shaped rectangular opening, which I could partially see in. This opening looked to be about 10 meters tall and maybe 15 metres wide. The disc extended higher and lower and I would have estimated the disc was just short of 20 metres top to bottom at its center or around 50 feet. The weirdest thing is, if that in its self isn't weird enough, as it passed over me it looked perfectly round but once it had passed by, because of the large rear opening it no longer looked round but something almost wedge shaped.

What was in it, if anyone / anything was in it I will never know because I saw no living beings inside the large opening. As far as I know it could have been fully automated. I don't believe it was automated but rather crewed based upon two reasons that I will not enter into here. If it was Earth / Man made whoever built it holds and has been able to maintain the greatest secret ever, anti-gravity technology. My gut feeling (what I like to believe anyway), it wasn't designed or built on Earth and those who crewed it were not Human. But who truly knows?

Stephen Hawking says that in a universe with 100 billion galaxies, each containing hundreds of millions of stars, it is unlikely that earth is the only place where life has evolved.
"To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational," he said, according to The Sunday Times.
The scientist, who is paralysed by motor neurone disease, warned that contact with alien life could spell disaster for the human race.
"If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn't turn out very well for the American Indians."

cheers I believe you.
