Me: Mum I have seen a plant pot that you have being looking for. (Sends link and image)
Her: I need to check the measurements. Give me a few minutes.

Her: Well I am not sure, can you use a 20cm plant pot to put inside to check when you go to the shop. (Thinks yeah I keep one in my pocket for just that occasion.
Me: Ok, I'll check.
Her: Don't forget to check the width with the pot.
Me: Ok mum, I will hunt another pot out in the shop and check it fits.
Her: Well the plant needs to reach the bottom. So you need to check the measurement with a 20cm pot to see it fits the bottom.
Me: Ok Mum.
Her: I am not sure, just check the pot fits inside it.
Me: Ok Mum. I will see you Sunday.
I did accept it first time you said it. I just don't invest so much thought into a plant pot damn it. I am now dreading if this pot doesn't fit. The measurements say it will. But no, I have to find another pot that is 20cm which they do in mm for the sake of my sanity Sunday

Welcome to my world as a daughter as my parents age. Their priorities and focus changes.
I was just thinking of my mum and a pot she has been looking for, that she had been telling me about. Trust me that is mild compared to some conversations we have.
