That was a interesting read. To those that matter, thank you. I'll probably get another feral down the road sometime. Still got one that seems to be in good health so hopefully she is around for a while longer.

crazyblondeone: I know this sounds selfish, but aren't you glad you were not the one to find him? I hate it when I have to bury a furbaby. I had to in November after the vet put her to sleep. I cried the whole time I had to dig her grave in the pouring rain before she was put to sleep and it was so difficult, then I had to show her to the other dogs before putting her in the ground for closure and her sister came down into the grave with her. It is so heartbreaking and for the ones left behind it is hard. One of my dogs grieved her for two weeks, even though he said goodbye to her.

And you are right, that is the only thing they do wrong is not live as long as we do. Big hugs to you Track.
Very sorry to hear this - and you did it in the pouring rain - wow

If only they could talk they would have a tale (no pun) to tell

I had a "Holiday Dog" who I found out was run over by a Taxi when I was on my way to the Airport to come back from Holiday. The news did hit me.

I was introduced to the dog by family.
I put my belt around her neck as they did not sell dog collars anywhere locally. She used to visit all our relative's who lived far from each other and used to turn up right on time to get leftovers. She knew if someone had a stone in their hand (which may be thrown at her). She used to get into fights as I used to see scratch wounds on her...I used to put Elastoplast plasters on her, which i took with me, and because there where no Vets to take her too. It was that much of a rural place, and they were not concerned about animals, and I was just 10 years old at the time.

crazyblondeone: That just broke my heart, they all mourned him like he was real.
The video sure was heart breaking and I felt I should post it to show how an animal can express grief and show compassion just as people do when they lose another whether it's a pet or person. wave

One2note: I'm never win an argument with you , so let's agree to disagree.
I'm not trying to win anything. Like I said I am sharing a different perspective.
