I've been quite well off before. I spent a lot of money on stupid things and treated my friends. I then lost a lot of money. Then I became poor (again). I struggled for a year or two and suddenly I'm doing okay financially. This time I'm being quiet and careful. I'm too old to start again. Money was my God as I was a very insecure person. Now I feel better about myself and money is NOT so important.I will invest I will buy a yaht I will by mansion

NO - I would not buy a mansion (though I loved my villa which is being sold)
NO - I would not buy a yacht (I'd only use it a few times so it would be a waste of money)
NO - I would not buy some super car as I only need a small car on the island where I live
YES - I'd try and help other people (but within my income and not use the capital)

Yes, mostly. I would want to help certain family members to have a better life. The only thing I would likely spend more extravagantly on is travel and improving my property. Otherwise, it is my desire to have less stuff as I age. I would not just buy things indiscriminately for the purpose of having more stuffI will invest I will buy a yaht I will by mansion

A million isn't a lot in Ireland these days, but it's a million more than I have right now...
I am by nature a careful one with money, not mean, but forward looking enough to see my affairs are in order when I take my leave of things...
A million would get me small house in the country with enough land for dog boarding kennels and runs, a vehicle for the business and perhaps a table tennis room and a jacuzzi and steam room for indoor comforts...
