I have had a plumber in to look at it,, he first quoted me a price of €3,0000,
which i just knew was too much.
A few have said to me, that it was a quick job, it would need some silicone?
Any advice anyone?

He said first of all that the ceiling would have to be pulled down.
It is just a small job, so i told him i wouldn't be having that done.
Looking for someone else now to do it,,, talk about taking advantage !!

Once insurance companies are roped in its a green light for some tradesmen to chance their arm on a drawn out labour charge... If your house insurance premium will be effected, then it might be advisable, if it's a small job, to pay cash....this goes for car insurance work as well...honesty, go with recommendations from trusted friends/work colleagues...I will fifi

My advice wouldn't be to start a thread saying you have a problem with your pipes....And specifically #164.
