Progress or Just Cheaper to Make? (4)

In the old days of push-on-push-off the button stayed down when it was on. Now one of my DVD players doesn't even have a little red idiot light, and the remote often misses its mark. I have to assure I turn the TV off last.
I won't bother with touch pad controls here.

"Progress or Just Cheaper to Make?"

I don't think it is either.
I think there are some valid reasons that the Amish stopped (so called) "progress" in the 1800's (before the zipper).
With technology comes risks and lost of privacy. I wouldn't trust that DVD laugh Is it a "Smart" DVD?

I couldn't do that. I like programming too much.

You are aware that the word "progress" can also be used in the phrase "progress of a disease?"

NM, I just wanted to find out how the Forums work on here.
