Does hardship make a person stronger?

If so, under what conditions and at one point, is it too much hardship?

If not, what makes a person stronger?

I think hardship generally knocks you down so low, you have to look up to look down...
When You are at the bottom, yes it makes you stronger to have the Capacity to get back up.

I would almost think that genetics plays a big part, Example, a weak animal has newborn young, and does not have some strength to get up and and get some milk, It will die...
Only the stronger ones will survive....>>>>elephant pointing

I don't like to speak for others..I find on this site those who have no clue about certain circumstances are frigging clueless & ignorant with their replies..

A lot of times bad things happen to good people and that is unfortunate if they can never rise again. I also believe in certain situations, some HAVE to hit rock bottom in order to get back in the saddle. We have all been derailed in times of our lives and that is nothing to ever be ashamed of as long as they do everything in their power to get back on track. Once we get back on track all the hardship was worth it when you have picked yourself up proved to yourself that you are stronger than you thought you were and that is very rewarding and builds confidence in yourself again. So I think hardships makes us stronger and better in a lot of cases.

Maybe you've heard the saying "what doesn't kill us, only makes us stronger". I believe that to be true in my life experiences.

That's a good point. Some people may not have the mentality to move forward. Maybe no resources, maybe physical things are what hinder them. That's where I like to pay it forward if I can help someone who is struggling but is committed to do the work.

Don't look down at someone unless your trying to help them up. No judgement.

And/or those people/trolls/bullies are simply acting/posting intentionally to be straight up malicious and could care less of the repercussions they are targeting, basically getting their rocks off by TRYING to portray themselves as superior when making others feel inferior. A person who acts like a narcissist is also known to have sociopathic tendencies and that is someone to stay clear of if possible in my opinion.

And my heart aches for those who can't get back on track. There are so many things that factor in to why they gave up. Are these the people who are homeless and drug addicted, are they war veterans who suffer from mental illness that is untreated, maybe poor upbringing and just lacks the tools to survive because they learn from who was the "role model' and don't know anything other than what they were exposed to and only knows what they witnessed, experienced, etc and know nothing else but what they were exposed to and was never able to get the help they needed to break that chain. I can go on and on but ultimately it comes down to having the DESIRE to rise and to find the specific resources that can aide them.

Mercedes_00: The above song speaks a very small volume of what was my hardship as it was and is still for millions across the globe..I speak up for men as well because I feel not enough woman speak up for men..I'm definitely not a victim...I'm definitely not ashamed to speak about what is real in the real world.
I would like to tell you how sorry I am for what you went through because you mentioned that you are not a victim, so my words may not be what you want to hear, but I will say this, You ARE NOT a victim, you have NO REASON to be ashamed. The fact that you stand up for what is the right thing to do and you advocate for the individual, regardless of gender and other's as a human being. I admire you for your willingness to be involved in and to educate and encourage awareness and help open up a platform for such serious matters that are so often overlooked/ignored. I believe that people who have the same mindset as you do, are the one's who pass on their own strengths to those who need to know they are not alone. I admire your courage to share your story in order to make an impact and to raise awareness in a non-discriminatory and supportive manner.

Often times someone needs to be the voice for those who may not have a voice. We should not ever turn a blind eye. There are so many reasons why people turn a blind eye, but personally, I believe we should all be aware and unafraid to make a potentially life saving effort by reporting suspicion of any crisis you believe you may have witnessed.

I'm sorry for the novel, hope I didn't go overboard, I hope I didn't offend or embarrass you, that is not my attention. Sometimes my passion takes over and I can't help myself.hug

Definitely !
It's only when we've been at our lowest point that we can compare.

The thing is not to dwell into the past traumas..but to look at the lessons learned along the way...and to use those to look to a brighter future...and take some action!

I agree with that!
You need to have walked in someone else's shoes to understand.
We can only speak from our own personal experiences

Firstly we are all different and what can cripple one person gives a second strength to another.

I have not met one person in my life yet who has not had a hardship of one kind or another.

One persons hardship is maybe not another's.

Always but always I can see someones life harder than mine, does that mean I cope better, does that mean my upbringing or culture is different. Maybe all those things. Does that mean I am lucky, yes that too.

So that saying we do not get out of life alive is so true.

Sending good vibes out this morning and hugs to all hug hug
