…. then why would members of the Senate & House fly back to D.C. to co-mingle and argue when one could easily have voted Yea or Nay electronically?

Could it be a "Pandemic Hoax?"
Sure sporadic breakouts... but 880 deaths in 55,000 cases? When many deaths are being contributed to this coronavirus of people who would die anyways? (elderly, poor health, congested living, homeless etc)

This reporter Harris Faulkner is an old school reporter... Not a bimbo who follows the narrative:

7:45 minute mark to 9:00 mark

I bet the powers that be will read her the riot act.

currently Italy has over 92 thousand cases , this includes 40 thousand plus new cases (7 days) that people are not dying from . Anyone thinking this is a hoax is not paying attention . The death rate should be from the older cases , it shows currently there is over 10 % , take off the new cases and it doubles to over 20 % .
Italy's usual death rate is just over 10 per hundred thousand .
From the infected cases older than 7 days is 200 per hundred thousand . Now tell me that is normal .

I understand. But again the question begs... If it is so bad.... why would the leaders of this country come together to argue the COVID-19 relief bill in Washington DC.... knowing the country is on lockdown when they could've easily voted electronically. It doesn't make sense.

The video (in its entirety) suggests its "localized" NOT a pandemic. Just thinking points. Not an argument.

Italy is a little over 10% death rate based on the fact of much older people catching it. What will people say when it begins to slow as younger people catch it?

Any way, back to the fact our less than helpful congress in here in the U.S. is and has been helping the panic spread. Doubles and triple standards, they can be the group of monkeys they are with out repercussions and the rest of us are told we have to stay and rely on the most UNreliable for "help and information".

Good points.

I came across this as other states don't want New Yorkers coming in and spreading the illness. Localized?

Rhode Island police began stopping cars with New York plates Friday. On Saturday, the National Guard will help them conduct house-to-house searches to find people who traveled from New York and demand 14 days of self-quarantine.

“Right now we have a pinpointed risk,” Governor Gina Raimondo said. “That risk is called New York City.”

New York is the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., on Friday reporting a total of 44,000 cases.

Rhode Island has just over 200, and it has begun an aggressive campaign to keep the virus out and New Yorkers contained, over objections from civil liberties advocates.

Raimondo, a Democrat, said she had consulted lawyers and said while she couldn’t close the border, she felt confident she could enforce a quarantine.

Many New Yorkers have summer houses in Rhode Island, especially in tony Newport, and the governor said the authorities would be checking there.
“Yesterday I announced and today I reiterated: Anyone coming to Rhode Island in any way from New York must be quarantined,” the governor said. “By order. Will be enforced. Enforceable by law.”
Raimondo signed an executive order Thursday that applies to anyone who has been in New York during the past two weeks and through at least April 25. It doesn’t apply to public health, public safety, or health-care workers.
White House Calls For 14-Day Quarantine For All Leaving New York
National Guard members will be stationed at the T.F. Green airport, Amtrak train stations and at bus stops. The citizen-soldiers will be following up with people at local residences. The maximum penalty for not complying: a fine of $500 and 90 days in prison.
The local chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union blasted the new rules, objecting to the collection of motorists’ contact information in particular.

“While the Governor may have the power to suspend some state laws and regulations to address this medical emergency, she cannot suspend the Constitution,” Rhode Island ACLU executive director Steven Brown said in a statement. “Under the Fourth Amendment, having a New York state license plate simply does not, and cannot, constitute ‘probable cause’ to allow police to stop a car and interrogate the driver, no matter how laudable the goal of the stop may be.”

Just before 1 p.m. Friday, state police were set up on Interstate 95 northbound, at the rest stop closest to the Connecticut border. A mile or two before that, motorists could see signs ordering all New York passenger vehicles to pull over at the rest stop.

One trooper could be seen there, checking license plates as cars went by. At the stop itself, a number of officers were assembled around a tent, ready to question vehicle occupants.

either because they are stupid or have a deathwish . With the UK PM , the heir to the UK throne , and some cabinet members have it soon enough your congress and senate will smarten up or thin out .

Not sure if that would be good or bad Epirb.

We wouldn't last long under crap like Aoc and omar. On the other hand, we're not doing so great when those career parasites we have now think they know what's best either. They don't have to work live like the general population.

They just get to become rich, tell us how to live and what we're not allowed to do, while spending us into oblivion with money we haven't made for ourselves yet.

This bit is copied from your link

As of March 28, 2020, the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Italy has hit mostly people over 50 years of age. Also, the virus claimed more than ten thousand lives since it entered the country between the end of January and the beginning of February 2020. As the chart shows, mortality rate appeared to be higher for the elderly patient. In fact, for people between 70 and 79 years of age, the fatality rate was 18.5 percent. For patients older than 80 years this figure was about 25 percent. Overall, the mortality rate of coronavirus in Italy reached 9.9 percent, higher than that registered in other countries.

problem is the total infection number is used and that is wrong to use it till at least 8 days after the last person is infected . I'm a little startled to see the 25 % of the over eighties are dying because of the use of total infected figure is used for the base number . The real number is hidden .

The bottom line is, we can't stop what's going to happen.

Influenza made three rounds and killed about 50 million people before any thing was able to fight it. Infected isn't a guaranteed death. It is as any other virus, certain age groups are at much higher risk than others in between. Extremely young and the extremely older. There are always some in the middle that might lose for some reason.

they're trying and using methods now that indicate being able to fight it fairly well over all and improving. I feel more like we're being set up for a much worse wave than now.

We don't have real figures for actual infected and recovered. We never will.

When people are going about their daily lives working, errands, , family activities, whatever, they're actually more active. A very large portion of the population doesn't exercise every day like some. Or have the best eating habits.

Now a great number are basically, locked away, less active, worse habits and there fore even more susceptible for something experts say, is most likely going to make another wave again.

Why? because unless it requires actual medical attention, with out testing, we're not going to know how many are actually infected or any thing else beyond that.
