I'm seriously getting an education with you're choices of tunes too.. Many thanks..
I feel the same... I need to pay attention a wee bit more to the forums. I have really enjoyed the opportunity to hear new music and re-visit old favourites. So, perhaps it should be me thanking you.

Well we can thank ourselves then.. Yes there really is an abundance of good tunes here for sure, it's like a great big international music library.. Keep them comin'

Let's toss one out there that is a little unusual then. A Busker? His lyrics are haunting.

Oh, there are also great European bands, like Saxon, Judas Priest, U.D.O., Black Sabbath, Yes, Accept, Helloween, Rammstein, even the Dutch bands Helloïse and Vengeance. Or how about Scandinavian metalband Masterplan, their style I gave it a different name, I cal it positive metal, cause it's such a positive sound. But the thing is that there are some great USA-bands that almost every metalhead likes, Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth, TestAmenT and Suïcidal Tendencies are the most important. Metallica stopped making great music after Cliff Burton died, their fourth album ...And justice for all was already less than the first three albums.
P.s. Also love the Russian band Aria, and Canadian bands Rush and Annihilator.

I have not heard Masterplan...but I really liked this song. They are German?
Abagail: That was interesting. AND yes, I needed the explanation. If the song is about taking it easy... it fits. Here's one of Midnight Oils latest...
Good morning Abigail.. This was the only song I remember from them.. Good stuff..

Beds are burning is a classic. Midnight Oil always addresses political events at the time...thus the new one. Peter is one of our coolest politicians. And no -one can dance quite like him.

Good evening Abigail.. I liked that tune, although you haven't saw me dancing yet.. These are mates of mine, I always said they wrote this song for me, they do a lot of stuff in Gaelic also..

No, I think they are Swedish. First time I heard of this band was when they where playing before Saxon came on stage in Amsterdam, it was the 40th birthday of the drummer, I believe. And they made a huge impression on me.
Another song I really love is this one:
Maybe now you understand why I want to subscribe their sound as positive metal. This band just makes me happy.

I am perplexed... they wrote the song for you? Where is the accompanying video of you working your art? hmmmm.... I suspect they didn't write it for you.
Love the sax in this. I listened to another of their songs called 'Seamus' ... didn't understand a word they said, so I am hoping it was Gaelic. It's either that or their accents are working magic on me.
...Talking accents... here's one without an accent

Of course they didn't want to give me a bigger head so they didn't mention me.. But deep down everyone knows.. Yes Seamus is about the sax players dog, it's in Gaelic.. Jimmy Barnes is pretty cool I think..
Another band of friends here, also Gaelic.. Bóthar mór = Long road

Have you always had an interest in metal? Do you branch out to other music as well? I have a friend in New South who loves metal, so occasionally I like to send him a James Blunt song... it makes him cry... makes me laugh...so clearly it's worth it.

No wonder you are always bragging about size... it's your head. Gracious ... my thoughts seriously hadn't contemplated your head.
I didn't know...but now I do, that's one less person to inform. The word is getting out.
I am going to take your word about Seamus because I restarted it thinking I wasn't paying attention very well... second time around I still didn't understand him.

I guess the secret is out then, size does matter.. I'll get a listen to this when I get back, thanks for the laughs this morn..

I really loved that video ... and their sound. I haven't heard of them... but wow.
Glad you liked that one.. This was before the Beautiful South, you may have heard it..
