I dig this thread Galrads. And you know I have a crush on your home.boot. Do you have more Italy -photos, I'm in particular interested in architecture, the classic stone-buildings on the verge of falling down, gardens, cafe's, seaside, people, cats .. cars and scooters.. the whole nine yards.. Nevermind that negative cypriot, he should learn to apprezzare his own background.

Driving around Positano has a few places which should be torn down imho
No tearing down please... these places grows not on trees. It's special architecture, but sure. Not everybody is as romantic about it as me, and sometimes whole villages are for sale for a tenner haha Me personally still can not shake the italy dream.
You probably noticed my italian friend happycamper from italy, he is just "duuude I wanna get out...don't come here" lol But still....I love the looks of it at least.

History and archeology have always interested me. One sensory item from the distant pass which is impossible to perceive is sound.... what did Caesars voice really sound like.

"According to legend the Sacra di San Michele was built with the angels’ help. For this reason, the Benedictine monks dedicated the abbey to Archangel Michael. Around the 12th century the abbey used to host pilgrims travelling on the Via Francigena from northern Europe, across the Alps and heading towards Rome, the holy city. After a long period of decay, the Sacra di San Michele started to flourish again, around the mid-18th century, thanks to the presence of the Rosminian fathers."
