snowlynx: Don't see how it's relevant that Russia gave 20 million lives in WW2 but if you want to go back a few years earlier you'd remember that Stalin's policies led to the loss of 2 million lives in Ukraine. He replaced these people with people from other parts of the USSR.

You don't understand the figures. Ukraine is a very big country, about 40 million. The vast majority are ethnic Ukrainians, with a folk memory of Stalin's murderous rule.
