ChesneyChrist: How do you make that many civilians fight if they don't want to? It'd be very easy to surrender to the Russians. And this is projection. Shooting your own troops because they're not really up for the fight? That's always been a Russian thing. They shot 16000 of their own men at Stalingrad.
Indeed, Stalin warned his army 'not one step back'....

snowlynx: Don't see how it's relevant that Russia gave 20 million lives in WW2 but if you want to go back a few years earlier you'd remember that Stalin's policies led to the loss of 2 million lives in Ukraine. He replaced these people with people from other parts of the USSR.
No wonder the Ukrainians fear Putin.
Stay away from my comments...

That doesn't make sense? If the Ukrainians were replaced ,why would the new "Russians" fear Putin?
In reality only 33%, mostly mixed and non ethnic Ukrainians in the North west was pro west before Majdan revolution.
15 years of brainwashing in media like we see now, young kids would even believe in God, Santa Claus or the Easter bunny by now!

Jaavisst: I wouldn't go swimming in minus 3 Celsius! Isn't that what the temperature was in Bulgaria yesterday?
Would be strange for a hotel to have pools operating.
Well, most if not all hotels have heated indoor pools... Nothing strange in that...
And many have hot mineral water outdoor and indoor pools...

You don't understand the figures. Ukraine is a very big country, about 40 million. The vast majority are ethnic Ukrainians, with a folk memory of Stalin's murderous rule. His attempts to break the country by diluting it didn't work.

Well the ancestors of two million back then would equal 4 generations later about 10 million today. That's almost a quarter of the population of Ukraine!

On 9 March 2022, in the course of routine maintenance, a technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile … It is learnt that the missile landed in an area of Pakistan. While the incident is deeply regrettable, it is also a matter of relief that there has been no loss of life due to the accident,” the Indian Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Friday. The Indian government has “ordered a high-level court of enquiry” to investigate the incident.

ali110: The human needs help, food and medicines, clothes to cover their bodies
Rich countries are spending on killing each others, why they don't spend to save the lives and help the needy people instead of throwing bombs.
Stop war, save people
My first so called "war" was in Biafra. Ceased to exist by 1970...
Have a look at that war and at those starving children...Biafra is still occupied, the Ibo tribe were nearly wiped out...and the war drums still go on even today. Tribal or racial genocide never stops, anywhere.sigh
