It is a consciousness that has already arrived. Some are aware, some are not.

Some call it the 'shift.'

phatdrummer650: always mocking the Christian faith....
why not mock muslims or budists or other faiths too?
If you chose not to believe that's your choice so why mock them?
If you don't want your beliefs ridiculed, don't have ridiculous beliefs.

Well the Muslims can't take it and Buddhism is a bit modern. I know it's ancient chronologically but in spirit. Buddhism is the city dweller rationalising away his own roots, every civilisation goes through a period like this and it correlates with our own enlightenment. It's the victory of intellect over the more intuitive ways of life, the Buddha was basically Rousseau and Rousseau basically Socrates. These men represent the victory of reason and the coming culture of disillusion.

The ultimate irony of the clever d*ck is that it leads to a society where if you can't say with a cave painting it's not worth saying. The civilization is more primitive both and after the peak which in western civilization was the French revolution. That was the height of being reasonable about things and it's not an idea that catches on. It very quickly becomes something completely different but at any rate the Buddha is not traditional.

In the modern world intelligence takes on an increasingly academic quality something that is done for its own sake. But that's not really enough. For most people this destroys concentration no there has to be a reason to exercise intelligence. And there's not a lot of reason to do that in the modern world, what intellectual pursuits actually matter to us in a real way? Dodging taxes maybe. The environment both physically and spiritually encourages people to become distracted and aimless as the price of having no soul, no tradition.

Hence the difference between Buddha and Buddhism in the far east today. Western Buddhism is more like the Buddha himself it's reasonable it could definitely be done without reference to a god. But in the far east as it's practiced there the Buddhists arent very different from the Hindus. It's much more intuitive than reasonable they will definitely believe in more of a god. In certain ways they're further away from the Buddha than the modern west. The Buddha and the west both had rich parents and in some sense wish to turn against them and turn against a civilisation at the peak of its power and might, but this is the exception to the rule of history. The historic usual is like father like son.

As for the second coming of Christ I see that as nothing other than the meek inheriting the earth. Which has actually happened throughout history. Why? Because the lunatics die by the sword whilst the gentle hide in a cave to repopulate the world after. But then peace can only last so long, you know you've got to give it back. The son is not completely like the father, genetics are random, and the posterity of the peace-loving do not remain peace loving for long. What once was dead will come back to life for better or worse.

But there you are. A rational mechanism by which the meek actually do inherit the earth. And I wish people wouldn't poo poo religion for this reason. Obviously they didn't know about genetics but they didn't need to, they were right anyway the religions know things without proof they're like women. I don't mean a baseless assertion, I mean they actually know.

And I admire Christ for playing the long game. Not going to pick a fight with those in power, that would be horrendous, but only to say to anybody who will listen that the best man loses the day. The morally best man loses the day therefore you must always hold something back, go without the unblinking obedience to the authorities.

I couldn't hear you over the thought of " I don't care about your opinion " .
