I see profiles with "I love to travel " ""I'm adventurous" or something similar but there is no indication of what their definition of " Travel" or what is "Adventurous"; it's different for each of us.
Here is the opportunity to expose us to your idea of adventure travel AND what your best country is and why. Don't forget to tell us how you got there ! GO FOR IT! SURPRISE ALL OF US.
When I was but a young man my gf and I drove across the US from NY to Washington in a Chevette with five dogs and a pigeon. We lived in the car outside Darrington, the only place I had consistently seen double rainbows. Lovely spot by the river, smelled of cedar, woke up to fresh air every morning. Then one day ALL these trailers and rv's showed up for whatever holiday weekend it was. I had no clue that kind of stuff happened. Later that summer we purchased a sixteen foot camping trailer and lived in a public fishing area out side of Bellingham where I did phone sales. Just beautiful wide river Salmon season so a couple of nets were up. River washed stone beach. One day this fawn appeared, damn thing was chest height I'm about five seven. It hung arounf for three or four days. We petted it and if I could figured a way would have kept it. One morning the police showed up seems someone put a pipe bomb under a car at the bar about a quarter mile away. Obviously it did explode but no one was killed.
I love journey without destination. I don't want to go to any destination, I just want to enjoy the journey. I don't feel joy when I reach the destination, I feel joy only during the journey.

Interesting, what happens along a journey is utmost important but How do you budget for your journeys without at least a destination to ultimately rest your head? Even when I hiked during pilgrimage in Portugal, I knew my destination, same in Israel.
Once I had a monthly train-pass, sometimes on Sunday I boarded the train and went till the last station and then came back home. Mostly I used to take long route to reach the destination. Because I had a monthly train-pass, so I did not have to worry about the fare.
"sure, maybe, Well, I don’t know about the status people I know there, but my favorite destinations in Ukrain have almost been blown up to smithereens."
Once the Russian and Poles divide up the country you can volunteer to help rebuild. Nato will be done laundering money and harvesting organs by then.

This is an 18 years old incident.
I could never afford train or bus rides when I was in elementary school. My friends and I then would skip classes and either thumb for rides or jump trains. Hesitant my first time to jump off a moving train I was the last in our group to jump off. My friends got a real laugh out of watching me jump but not keep my feet moving.
Women do travel and enjoy it. Mostly they dont talk about it though. I have been to so many exciting countries alone and enjoyed the experience. Went to India a number of time in the 70/80. Travelled all over it by train/bus. from the southern tip to the high Himalayas. Went backpacking and camping in Alaska alone, just me the moose and the bears. Still laught when i remember the scrapes i got myself into. Cuba was fun catching barracuda off the back of a boat. Isreal was a year of history ,ancient ,old and recent.. all still relevent in the world we live in today, i loved it, travelled by bus all over and into Egypt to climb a mountain. Recent travels have been to Morracco . Mid atlas mountains ,Fez and Marakesh. Love western Australia, but want to explose a bit more of that country. How do i get there, as i live on an island on the edge of Europe, flying is a great option. But once i arrive in my counrty of choice i like to travel by local bus or train. I also like to spend a few months getting to know a country. Two weeks is great for a holiday but to really explore you need a lot more time. So yes Women do travel.
