Wondering if narcissists ever take the initiative to end a relationship themselves?

Well, here's the scoop: Narcissists love being in control and thinking they're the coolest cats in town. But even the mightiest lions need a break from roaring sometimes.

Believe it or not, narcissists can end relationships when it suits their needs. It's like when they've had their fill of attention, validation, and adoration from their current partner, and suddenly they're off chasing greener pastures. It's like trading in a luxury sports car for the latest model – always looking for something more exciting and shiny.

But here's the twist: Narcissists aren't exactly known for their straightforwardness or consideration. They might pull disappearing acts that make Houdini proud, leaving you scratching your head and wondering where they went. Poof! Gone like yesterday's leftovers.

And let's not forget the mind games! Some narcissists prefer to leave you in a state of confusion and frustration, like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded. It's enough to make your head spin!

Now, enough about them. Here are some valuable tips to help you navigate a narcissist's exit strategy:

Safeguard your self-worth vault: Remember, their departure doesn't define your value as a person. You're a rare gem, and their inability to recognize your worth is like mistaking a diamond for a pebble.

Set up a "Boundaries BOSS": Become the boss of boundaries and protect your emotional wellbeing. Establish clear limits on what you will and won't tolerate, like a bouncer at an exclusive club.

Assemble your "Support Avengers": Gather a team of supportive friends and loved ones who understand the dynamics of dealing with a narcissist. They'll be your emotional superheroes, ready to lend an ear and provide guidance when needed.

Fuel up your self-care engine: Refuel your self-care engine and keep it running smoothly. Engage in activities that nurture your mind, body, and soul. Treat yourself like a well-oiled machine, because you deserve it!

When it comes to dealing with narcissists and their potential exit from a relationship, it's essential to remember that their behavior doesn't define your worth. Protect your self-worth like a precious gem and set boundaries to safeguard your emotional well-being. Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends and loved ones who understand the challenges of dealing with a narcissist. Take care of yourself through self-care practices that nourish your mind, body, and soul.

By implementing these tips, you can navigate the complexities of a narcissistic relationship and come out stronger on the other side. Remember, you deserve happiness and fulfillment, and by prioritizing your own well-being, you can create a healthier, more empowering future for yourself.

Cheers :)

This is an excellent post. I have had a relationship with two different narcissists both from CS. Both tried to make me think I was always wrong. It was actually amusing to see how far they would go to make me think I was stupid. I am an Avenger and very confident of who I am. I ended the relationship with one of them and the other one dumped me which wasn't a big deal. The OP knows what he is talking about when he describes all facets of how a narcissist works. wine

The Narcissists men on CS are easy to see.

They view your profile with the hopes that you will write to them first.
Too bad we can't block them just by them viewing our profile.

Not all viewers are Narcissists. The ones that keep viewing your profile without making the first line of communication are the Narcissists.

Not usually, they'll push you away until you've had enough, they can't be seen as the bad guy/gal. But they always have a new supply ready and waiting before they can let you go.
