For the last two nights running I have seen in the night sky, at 22.10 (my time), what appears to be a swarm of satellites tracking from the North West, diagonally across the sky.

There is one leading object followed, at some distance, by a dozen or so other randomly, but closely spaced objects.
It looks like a debris field.

Has anybody seen this? Or knows what it is?
confused

I'll be watching again tonight...and take photos, if I can.

That's a long page. You might have singled out the Perseid Meteor Shower.

They are the new starlink satellites from Musk - saw them in the sky last fall here ... pretty cool in reaching their positions.

I saw something exactly like this (I think) and, it freaked me out! About thirty miles from Grand Coulee Dam, and they were headed straight towards it. Looked like slow ‘falling-stars’ coming down out of the sky in a straight line, and in perfect unison. Never saw any satellites that bright, before dunno help wow uh oh confused roll eyes

Wow...it sounds similar to those I saw.wow

And...the strange thing was that there was a crescent moon at that time and when that satelittes line went past, the moon suddenly disappeared!
We just couldn't see the moon anymore. confused

I saw something similar Dani about 3 weeks ago, 15 lights all in a line, equally spaced that blink between their movement;;; the most freaky thing i've seen for a while, i don't know if they were satellites because they crossed over half the sky from horizon to horizon in maybe a minute to 2 minutes..

I'm sure i posted what i saw in Tame's blog Dani..

Called SpaceX satellite system. I'm not 100% familiar with, but do know it's kind of an "all in one" which will cover the whole earth for a new phone system, new internet, etc. (curious what etc. means) Pretty cool watching them spread out in the sky for each position though. Think it's not that far off in the future and hate to guess when.

Hi Butch wave

Yes! All those lights in a line (I didn't count them!) blinking.
I don't really know if they were satellites.
At first, I was wondering if it was some kind of UFO.
But, last night they came back again, at the same time.
Tonight I didn't see any because I was waiting for them.
How strange!

Butch, did you see them again?

Starlink satellites to be launched Aug 22nd or in 17 hours from now (2:04 am ET). It’s so cool to watch the launches, but watching the main fuselage to land on a platform is remarkable to reuse. Keep an eye peeled for it.

Gen. info already discussed – Seriously can find what I was looking for
