Move over Corn Pop! President Biden has a new story regarding his younger days.
While speaking to a group of rabbis on Thursday, President Biden claimed that he was raised in Delaware synagogues. This after Biden, 80, stated last year that he was raised by the state's Puerto Rican community.
The comments were made during a phone call ahead of the Jewish Holiday Rosh Hashanah in which Biden told rabbis: "I, you might say, was raised in the synagogues of my state. You think I'm kidding, I'm not."
The octogenarian claimed that the Beth Shalom congregation in Wilmington, Delaware, was "the home of countless friends for me."
"I've always believed the message of the High Holidays is universal — that it's never too late to repent, to change, to begin anew," Biden said.
However, Biden has never mentioned his ties to the Jewish community, including in his 2007 memoir "Promises to Keep" and his 2017 book "Promise Me, Dad," New York Post reports.
This is not the first time Biden has appeared to invent a personal backstory in an attempt to connect with his audience.
President Biden raised eyebrows last year in Puerto Rico when he claimed to a crowd that during his time as a Congressman, he had been raised in the Puerto Rican community.
Prior to those comments, Biden had not spoken about any links he had to the Puerto Rican community in Delaware, much less being "raised" in it.
In July 2021, while touring a Mack Truck facility, Biden claimed that he, too, "used to drive an 18-wheeler."
The president has also falsely stated in public that he was arrested while protesting for civil rights.
But the most famous of all, perhaps, is Biden's alleged run with Corn Pop, the Delaware pool gangster.
The president's many claims have not been able to be verified.

Probably mostly out of fear that one day the swamp in America and the corruption around the world will be exposed. The big guy is one who likes to just go along to whoever he is with at the moment. One day if he ever has a conference about Vietnam or Korea he will no doubt say he recalls he was in a foxhole putting some guy's leg back together while carrying him 6 miles on his back to safety while stopping by to diffuse a mine and then going to a meeting to some head general to stop the wars.
