I was contacted by 2 scammers a few months ago, both sent me their phone numbers, I passed on the number, and had one send photos of himself to it. He said he kept calling me, but I didn't answer. Don't know if they found out what I had done or if they ever chatted with eachother, as I had blocked the first 1, but kept the number, and blocked the 2nd one soon after I found out he had sent photos and called.

If you want to have fun, give them the contact info for your local police detachment 
Scammers everywhere.... regularly get calls from a phone company I m not with telling me that they can see my internet needs boosting...... I just put them on speaker and keep working away and answer a few questions....if they wasting time with me they not scamming an old wan down the road .... heard of a few who got caught.....

When they would be looking for a #, I will give them the number to the police and tell them to ask for Hugh Jazz
