The friend of my enemy is a priori my enemy.
And the enemy of my friend is a priori my enemy
Am I right? Are there any other options?

Morning salamunawave

I have friends who have different opinions from myself [ even on heregrin ] but I don't class them as my enemy as that is too strong a word.

A priori knowledge is knowledge that comes from the power of reasoning based on self-evident truths; a priori usually describes lines of reasoning or arguments that proceed from the general to the particular, or from causes to effects.handshake

Well, if Jesus was right you're not only supposed to love your enemy
but the meek will inheritage the earth too, apperantly.
Plus the one who reach for the sword will fall for the sword.
Who shot first in Ukraine, not Putins tanks.

I have always thought that noone should dictate you who to hate,
or force you to have a hostile approach when you yourself see diplomatic ways out.

tip hat

hello german
my life is very, very complicated and it does not revolve around this site. I'm here just to throw out my emotions and nothing more. so this question did not concern CS. it's more global for me. rather related to my work
I know the meaning of a priori..it wasn’t worth wasting your time for looking of the meaning

It s latin word, Grandsi. In Latin a priori means “what comes first.” A priori understandings are the assumptions that come before the rest of the argument, or analysis.

So why post it?

I didn't need to look it up I was taught Latin at school but there are many foreign speaking people on C.S. who read these posts who would be unaware of its actual meaning.

Hi German!
"Priori" is a wildly used word in the modern world and everyone should know it as there are many words deriving from it.
We study Latin in University, especially when you take up any type of language philology.

Become mindful to use your mind less, or at least to give it a rest.
