what the heck are we supposed to do, if we all have our guard up? ( Archived) (30)

As I said before, I do not know how to play this game. Any advise, comments, all are welcome. We all have being hurt one way or another, due to that we keep our guard up. So what is supposed to do? Do I have to be myself and be honest, (being to honest scare people) or I need to fallow some steps? I want to take it slow but sometimes look like I am in a hurry, does any body relate to this?

Just be you. That is all. And, I know what scaring people off is, lol. It takes time to get to know folks, and you'll come to see which are just games for fun, and which can be more serious...Everyone has a guard of some type up...Cautious is good. Offline you would be too, yes?
I felt like that when I was new, too. And, really I still am compared to those that have been here awhile an really know the ropes.
But, just being yourself, Have some fun. continue with your great insights...:)

I can relate. I can make mistakes. Sometimes my mistakes can help others. Sometimes my mistakes make me seem human. Scary being human but someone has to do it. Don't worry about scaring people because lonliness is even scarier. Impatience is the scariest of all, to me, atleast. Be yourself even if it scary. So many times I have posted and felt so vulnerable and even thought of what others might think of me. If I knew the steps maybe that would help but where are the steps posted so I can follow them? Slow is better I am sure but how slow can one get and still be moving forward or how can one tell if one is moving backward? I have seen some who ended before they started. Just take your time, dear because there is no reason you have to rush. Be patient with you and you will find that your true friends will be patient with you. Know always that your friends are there for you and will catch you perchance you should fall. A heart can heal even one that is broken. Guard your heart, guard your soul, guard your spirit, guard your body, guard all that is you until you feel you have found that right one for you.

Oh, Yami---You are so beautiful!!! Yami, You are being YOU and that's what I like about YOU!!!! Yami, This is only a "game" to "game players!!!" You know you want someone that is Heaven Sent just for YOU!!! The good news, he is there! Planned just for you! Designed by GOD just for YOU!!!! You could not do it any better, you could not find him, he will come to you and GOD will so put you and him together and it will be easy, not hard or exasperating!!! I do understand how you feel and such is a "therometer" to let us know, who is in charge? Are we trying to "make-it-happen?" Or, Are we allowing HIM to make it happen for US??? I have learned, My way is the hard way- HIS way is easy!!!! I hope this would comfort you and since I am "falling" for YOU...I so thought I would share!!!! Oh, Yami!!!!
