I wrote this a while back and had it published. Wanted to hear what you all think:

Captivated

From out of nowhere she came,
She turned and gazed upon me,
My wild heart became instantly tame.
I noted an aurora which surrounded her so,
It pulled me to her like a magnet, I could not let go.
Her hand brushed mine, and I felt a shiver,
I knew in an instance, all I would give her.
Curiously I wondered, why this beauty sought me,
A guy down on his luck, how could this be?
And yet here she was, the one of my dreams,
One who has done something no other has, it seems.
For now I have been bound by her love,
I am now . . . captivated.

I love it. I admire honesty, it goes with integrity. And before I named my daughter I saw it in a name book her name meant "to capitivate." She definitely has the qualities.

~ Mesmerizing Ecstasies ~

~~~
I dream of feeling captivated
like women dream of knights
all the genders have desires
of overpowering delights
A woman seeks a man who’ll woo
and sweep her off her feet
A man prefers to turn to goo
in her presences when they meet
Conflicting dreams of ecstasy
each longing for surrender
to be freely hurled
from an encumbered world
that they’d rather not remember
~~~

wine

(Abra 3/1/07)

Composed by Abracadabra, Inspired by the great poet Dietzman
