I wouldn't want someone to love me more than life itself, that would sound scary to me. that would mean they are very dependent.
But I do think I love my children enough that I would die for them to save them. but I wouldn't die just because they made choices that I didn't like.

I'm not sure the term, loving someone to much is the right analagy for weird behavior.
It's more like an obsession or wacked, I don't feel that is real love .
but, people tell me that allllllll the time.

I have been told that someone loves me more than life itself. I have had to ask them not to say that. It is not fair to put that kind of responsibility on me. That seems to help them understand if they're not totally wacked.
However, I would have to agree, I think if it were a matter of saving my children's lives I would probably make the sacrifice. Fortunately, my kids are now old enough they should be able to handle things as an adult.

As some have already stated, I also would die for my children if need be. But I havent met the woman yet that I love "too" much.
At least not long term.
I have had a woman tell me that I "loved her too much". But that might have been due to drunken lack of performance.......
did that make sense?

This is no doubt a serious question! I hope my response can help.
If your perception of love is that love heals and is good then the ans-were is no, you can never love to much. If it hurts and confuses you leaving you feeling empty then its not Love but an unhealthy perception of what Love is. I think we are all guilty at one time or another of this unhealthy idea of what love is. Just know and believe real love does not hurt!

Even with new improved grown up love, I find personally that you can't love someone too much. For me romance is a full on thing and not a half hearted affair and not just something for the first couple of weeks. True love is unbreakable, for me no other type will do. It's as much about chopping potatoes as it is flowers and chocolates. If your honest and true to yourself, and each other, you know if it's right..it's those little moments of nothing for me is where the spark comes in my opinion. The mutual respect comes from here.
