So what's the next holiday that you except to be alone AGAIN!!

There's been a lot of hurt feelings around the Forums lately.

But there's a reason....

Many of us want to have someone around. Someone to share life and family and holidays.

So what's your plan for the next holiday, or do you have a plan???

I take 'em as they come..If its destiny that I be alone, I can handle it..

Of course, a partner would be a blessing..

I plan to be alone with my son or having dinner with family.Couples things seem far out of my reach..

Holidays aren't a big thing for me - besides I'm likely working anyway...that just seems to be how the shifts work out for me.

As to vacation time or time off - I do have things sort of planned for myself...by myself...but they are not carved in stone and if I was wandering a path and looked over to find a special someone walking that path beside me...that would be wonderful! He would certainly be welcome.

Life goes on and I am at peace with myself and by myself (and with my critters). Hope to find a companion but perhaps he's nowhere around...

I always feel like the weird person around here.

I don’t even think in terms of holidays. Every day’s a holiday to me.

I have so removed from the rat-race for so long that I can’t even identify with it anymore.

I mean, even when I was teaching college classes it didn’t feel like “work”. And every weekend was a holiday in my book.

In fact, I used to avoid going out on the “real” holidays just to avoid the crowds. Who wants to go stand in lines everywhere? I’d rather going during the middle of the week when all the other idiots are working.

That way I can have the beach, resturant, or whatever, all to my self.

I absolutely loath the 9-5 mentality!!!

Life doesn't need to be that way. Mankind brought that evil onto himself.

Well I haven't worked standard 9 till 5 hours since I moved to Spain from the UK. Working hours here for teachers of English are long and hard so my weekends and holidays are important.

I too dislike typical tourist traps so my holidays are the same as yours, away from the crowds. One of the reasons I moved to this region of Spain is that there are no foreign tourists living here and taking over the place. I am totally immersed in the Spanish way of life.

The nice thing about working long hours is that one can really appreciate and enjoy the holidays. I think I prefer that to being able to holiday every day. Time for that when I retire!

I haven't thought in terms of holidays in some time. It is more like a day or days off. The closest I have come to celebrating is buying some toy for myself or enjoying to get to eat out. I have enjoyed being around married couples and experiencing their joys through an osmosis effect which is better than being envious now. I am not even sure what the next holiday is.
