I've never tried to get in a girls pants by telling her about how depressed I am. If this technique works I will try it, though. Dana, I'm so depressed. I quit an awesome job and have been on vacation at the cabin since last Wednesday. I went fishing and god it's depressing...

Depression is not a bad thing at all i dont think. It makes you take a long good look at yourself and the way your living. Clever no, ready to move on and be something or someone better. Yes.

If theres a girl I like, I tell her I have depression issues but I'm working with it. I don't want her to freak out if I don't get out of bed for a week because "I don't feel like it".

Well ... it's either tell you about what's depressed or tell you about what's arising ... what'll it be?

They are pathetic sympathy seekers and it is very unbecoming and unattractive. It's a turn off to see such weakness presented at the beginning of an acquaintance.

Yet, if they are truely sick from depression because of some personal tragedy, this is very sad. They should not be out on the dating scene, they need help for family, friends or professionals.
