I believe that the vast majority of us are sane, just with varying degrees and type's of humour that others don't understand, my humour can go to the extreme but there is no malice in it at all, and I wouldn't knowingly hurt anyone with it

No, I never caught myself talking to myself, but very often I reason things aloud, and try to build an argument in favour of something I would be discussing or addressing with a client, the following day.
Never thought of this as insanity. In fact I am known as a good speaker, who can explain things with maximum clarity. This too does not make me insane.
