Thank goodness you got out! Sorry to hear about that. Pics are irreplaceable. I have a few of my deceased brother that I just obtained from his platoon buddies while he served in Vietnam...It is the only way I have come to know my brother other than what I was told by my family (he was killed 10 months before i was born)...So to lose these photos (which I have on my PC) would absolutely devastate me....I keep a backup CD.

actually, i had experienced such a situation, our ship was in a very heavey weather and we prepared to abandone the ship, i left everything behind except once golden cross, it was my frist and only birthday present i had ever had,,, lol... but in the morning everything got calm, and the captain started to shout ... you do this and you do that,,, i wish i could throw him overboard that night
... oh god i don't like to be evil ...

I can imagine that when we are in a situation where
it is black with smoke and all we can do is crawl out
toward where ever there is evidence of some light
that all we would do is make sure we could hear if
anyone else is close by and get the Hell out of there.
The only thing I would save is children if they are
