Growing up, ingraciously, I've had wisdom thrust on me. Old before my time, Paying for a crime Lost, long ago, What it was I don't know. Thoughts run, A river flowing, All unknowing, With eddies and currents, But an overall trend, Something, unseen, Around the next bend.
Will it be more pain, Another loss, not gain? I'm soaked through, And don't know what to do Sitting on the fence, Doubting recompense, Knowing, someday, Things will swing my way And sunshine will banish the storm. Until then, how will I keep warm?
Shudder, shiver, I'm a'quiver, Wishing is fishing, Sometimes it takes all day. In the frozen night, Only demons come my way. And my will is fading, My sorrow I'm parading, As the affection Suffers connection misdirection. And the rage today, Distant voices come to play But they promise nothing, And offer me lessons, Granting haunted blessings, And sorrowful confessions.
Galactic, your writing expresses much passion, and sensitivity. Thank you for sharing it.
I've been reading Deepak Chopra's "The Seven Spiritual Law of Success" I hope you don't mind if I share the last part of his book with you all.
We are travelers on a cosmic journey -- stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. But the expressions of life are ephemeral, momentary, transient. Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, once said.
"This existence of our is as transient as autumn clouds.
To watch the birth and death of beings is like looking at the movements of a dance.
A lifetime is like a flash of lightning in the sky, rushing by like a torrent down a steep mountain."
We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment, but it is transient. It is a little parenthesis in eternity. If we share with caring, lightheartedness, and love, we will create abundance and joy for each other. And then this moment will have been worthwhile.

I've had wisdom thrust on me.
Old before my time,
Paying for a crime
Lost, long ago,
What it was I don't know.
Thoughts run, A river flowing,
All unknowing,
With eddies and currents,
But an overall trend,
Something, unseen,
Around the next bend.
Will it be more pain,
Another loss, not gain?
I'm soaked through,
And don't know what to do
Sitting on the fence,
Doubting recompense,
Knowing, someday,
Things will swing my way
And sunshine will banish the storm.
Until then, how will I keep warm?
Shudder, shiver, I'm a'quiver,
Wishing is fishing,
Sometimes it takes all day.
In the frozen night,
Only demons come my way.
And my will is fading,
My sorrow I'm parading,
As the affection
Suffers connection misdirection.
And the rage today,
Distant voices come to play
But they promise nothing,
And offer me lessons,
Granting haunted blessings,
And sorrowful confessions.
