Does anyone read profiles without pictures? (42)

When I first came on I didn't post one..I
have some friends,that say they want to be judge
from the inside first..I admire that..people who
judge from the out side in can be shallow..But the
same people who dont post say after the person is
interest in them as a person..They would be happy
to send the interested party a picture..I am one
who wants someone to love the in side..(ME) rather
for the way I look..beauty is only skin deep..(picture
or not there good people)

I appreciate your opinion, and like yourself, of course I want someone to like me for who I am, and not what I look like.
I was just curious if others were like me and tended to focus on the profiles with pictures and pass over the ones without.
I could be missing out on some amazing individuals.

Kat, I totally agree with u. I really dont bother with pictureless profiles. We're all putting ourselves out there I think that its off putting when a person cant for whatever reason post a pic.
Its not shallow, its just that people like to be able to visualise the person they are mailing. Its a simple, basic human thing.

I prefer to have a picture because it helps me connect with the person I'm communicating. They're also setting themselves up for disappointment if someone asks them for a picture and then decides there's no chemistry there.

I totally agree with the physical connection side. If it's not there for me then I don't want to go any further. The thing is, no matter what you look like, there is someone for everyone. So why not post the pic, and let the flowers come in!
I wish some men would reply.
There are alot of male profiles without pics. I havent' browsed the female profiles to see if there are as many without pics.
This online dating thing allows us to be very specific is out criteria for the "perfect match", why wouldn't looks be included in that?
I find this so intersting.

But honestly. I will read some profiles without pictures if there is something that catches my attention.
But I am more drawn to profiles with pictures. No offense to anyone but I need to have a physical attraction along with being attracted personality wise etc...

afraid,or bashful,or own business in the communicity
they work in and by posting it harms them in their

Oh I am sure there are some who have a good reason not to post a picture. And I have no problems with that.
I guess its just a preference I have. You just never know who you meet on the internet kwim? Its a cautionary thing for me I guess. I don't know.
