If you have given a verbal commitment to each other, sure, I would hope that there would be enough honesty that if either person couldn't commit, then they should speak up before the other party gets hurt.

Honestly, I stopped looking after I met BND online the first night...something just told me I had found "the one". I made a verbal commitment then....if only to myself. 4 days later when we met, we made that commitment to each other....and now....well.......committed for life.

I personally think you can only consider someone to be your 'partner' once you both had a chat about it or moved to the next step naturally. You never can know what the other person you are communicating with is really thinking unless they tell you or unless you ask.
Having said all that once you have both agreed you are on the same page in a relationship then being faithful is very high on my agenda.

Well that would independ on yourself. My view is don't cheat, don't lead someone on even though you've never met them. You are not only letting yourself down but the person you are involved with. You consider him/her to be your partner or not. There is no half way here.
