Fate is Fate. God just puts us here and brings us back when the time is right. What you do or how you live your life is up to you and what happens in your life is fate........ good or badangel devil

Thank you. You are a very sweet compassionate person. Perhaps if I have someone like you praying for me, maybe things will get better.

jesus says in john: woe to those who cause evil, for evil must come, but woe to the man that causes it.

god is not bound by time and therefore knows all that has and will happen. his plan has worked all of those things into it, so, in a very superficial way, those bad things must happen for god's good plan to work. they are apart of the bigger picture.

read ecclesiastes.

some excellent sharing here

however jimb
im sure you acknowledge
choices we make along the way as having
some effect...

anyway if we dont know by now who posted this thread to answer it
oh boy!

and we say 4 corners of the earth all the time
just like people say god helps he who help himself
however thats never said in the bible...hmmmm

but its said by nonbelievers alot-
as a dig or justification of self power and self sufficiency

for me? i needed to stop relying on myself
i came to the end of me
im so grateful there was somewhere else to turn besides me

and mysticalguy, you forget II timothy 2:15. and you should probably read all of phillipians.

have you ever heard of the gnosis? it was one of the things the corinthians struggled with.

gnosis was what the gnostics claimed to possess. they felt that their "god-given" understanding of spirituality gave them permission not to study the word. and it really made paul angry.

and the bible says the world is round ("it hangs like a circle in the sky") in the old testament. which is amazing considering the dating of the dead sea scrolls.

The BIble doesn't say the earth is flat. People make their assumption. I think Genesis writes the God creates heaven and earth. The earth hangs on empty space. It is correct. Scientific proves it true that the earth hangs on empty space by Law of Gravity and forces. How does that happen? I don't know.

Thank. That helps a lot. I realize that many incidents cause by humans and we should do about it. God has nothing to do with that. However, some are cause by nature, which is hard to explain.

Nature is part of the creation . I wouldn't say that GOD is in nature. that's something you'd hear someone of Wiccan beliefs state.

Yeah I mean there are a lot of crazy things going on with our weather.
But I feel safe to say that they could very well be caused do to pollution and what have you . Something GOD is well aware of also.

But like scott said, If it's what has to happen for things to go according to plan then so be it.( not a quote) I am not going to argue with GOD about it.
we do need to use our brains a little better, though .

Quit our talkin and start our walkin.

yay

I use to wonder the same thing about God, even to the point I stopped believing in him. That was around five. It helps me with my belief in reincarnation according to Edger Cayce.

Isn't reincarnation coming from Buddhism/Hinduism?

It does but l believe the reincarnation that Edgar Cayce spoke of when he was in trance. There are books regarding the reading of Edgar.

Hmm, sound interesting. What is different between reincarnation from Hinduism and Edgar Cayce? I'll google it. I like to learn new things.
