I think that may be one reason. I used to work with this one guy who always cheated on his wife, and he was very open about it at work. I asked him why he did it because I couldn't understand how he could do that if he truly loved his wife.
All he would say is it was fun, but I think what it really is...is that some men never want to give up playing the field. And for others there is either something wrong in their marrage or relationship. And then you have those who just want something new.
Personaly though, if I am in a commited relationship the only one that would matter is the one I am with because I wouldn't want to be with anyone else...

It is a two way street. Both genders are just as guilty.
Why they chose to do such a thing? Well it can be a variety of things. Could be because they are lacking in the relationship, could be a intimacy issue, could be because they are perverts or pigs and are insensitive and selfish.
Either way its not a good excuse. I figure if someone is that tempted to cheat then why not make things much more easier and just end the relationship and then go have your own fun instead of leading on and hurting innocent people and especialy the children who have to unfortunatly be involved in all of it.
