Ivory white bones
In the desert,
All alone,
Bleached by time,
And neglect.
Sandstorms scour,
The world rejects
The end comes
Quicker than
Anyone expects.

Again, maybe,
For the price of love,
The bones will move,
And rise above,
The hold of soil,
Clinging, dragging,
Heart of dust,
Blood is rust,
Beating still,
But flagging.

Eyes caked,
Throat is choked,
Will to speak
Has been revoked.
Blinded, mute,
Dear Death refute,
Before times overtake
My bones at stake,
A claim it makes
And sternly reminds,
‘Tis signs, they are,
Of coming times.

Dead carcass dreaming
More to this seeming
Than what is seen.
Nobody knows the
Places I have been,
The tides pushed back
To the never-when.
The mountains moved
To be here and now,
To be, hear and know,
The portals all aglow,
And see the beauty in
The falling snow.

Well, I'm getting a bit run-down and discouraged these days.

I'm not a big fan of hope, anyway, but lately its just seemed like a poison to me. Enough of a shock to keep my heart beating, but not much more benefit from it than that...
