As my grandfather said if he had English blood in him. He would take a knife and drain it out. Just so he could spit on it. My views are a bit different but it was no mistake.handshake

I concur

Our forefathers who wrote that were not the smartest people in the world, but they were smart enough and had enough foresight to leave provisions to allow us to fix the mistakes we make as we go along.

Were not perfect, but what we have works , and I think we have show that team work can accomplish anything.

Charlie

thumbs up

HI Gilly,

Just a little imput here. When George Washington and the others were
facing off on the battleline of the revolution war. They were fighting two
the world's foremost military machines, the British red coats and the German Hessions. It was a hard fight. A Declaration of Independence. A revolution war won. Liberty. Contstitution. Duly conducted elections. And a new government of the United States of America.

1812 comes. And those same British Red coats return and burn Washington DC to the ground. Impressed American sailors from
commercial vessels. Then run into some guys in New Orleans and other locals that were going to continue the fight through out the country. Realized this was a fight that could not be won, either.

Get the picture?

Our fore fathers paid high price for our freedom and liberty. Someone once said of the original signers of the declaration of indepedence, only five did not suffer either death or total lose of property. The movie "Patriot" protrays it accurately. There was so much bad blood back then between Brit and American, that Loyalists that supported the British Empire in both fights, had to flee to Canada to survive.

As much as we love you today. We are not going to give up what our
fore father gave us. Freedom and independence.handshake cheers barf
