There is a new book out (can't remember the name or author) written by a man who tried to live by the literal bible for 1 year. He found 700 laws not to break within the bible; including "one can't wear clothing of mixed fabric, a man can't sit on any seat that has been sat on by a woman during her monthly cycle", etc. He even carried small stones with him, in the event that he ran into an adulterer. Bottom line, it's impossible to live by the bible unless you pick and choose which laws to abide by.
I have learned some new things from my . . . Biblical friends - we are not only looking at The Bible out of context but questioning the validity of its teachings and laws out of the context in which they were given, and in many instances to which they still pertain.
