Got some weight training & resistance in today by carrying around my dad's huge little giant ladder...and holding it for him...lol I've been sticking with what I've written out each day...Tuesday I'll find out if it's doing any good (scale day).
And Eupho...check the number of servings on the bag of kisses and only take out that many. It's when you say you can't have any at all that makes you eat the whole bag...if you dole out a serving, then you tell yourself you get to have some and you're not depriving yourself. If you want to eat your serving all at the same time, or spread it out over the day...find what works best & make sure you're including the calories in your daily count.
As Ken said, whatever works best for you. Weight Watchers has an on line program, which depending on how I did on my own this week I may or may not be signing up for.
I'm basically trying to stay 1500 calories a day or less and reading what a serving really is on the package (35 jelly bellies, not the whole box...lol). As soon as my hamburger patties are gone I'll be making the switch to turkey burgers, which I think saves me about 100 calories.
If eating out, remember that they're usually giving you about 3 or 4 servings...especially if you go to the Spaghetti Factory downtown. I'm sure they'd be glad to bring you a to-go box so you can keep a serving on your plate (about a cup) and put the rest in the box to take home (& the split into smaller servings)...limit to maybe 2 slices of bread...or skip it altogether (I know that warm loaf is yummy...lol)...and make sure you have the salad before hand. Even the steaks at TD Hayes are actually large enough for more than one meal.
The Weight-Loss Bible by Besy Hornick, is a pretty good guide. It gives a breakdown of several different diets & rates their stickability and then gives you guides on how to go it alone if you don't really want to get into something like Jenny Craig (which is rated a 3 out of 5 - 5 meaning it's easy to stick to). Weight Waters, Choose To Lose, Richard Simmons & Volumetrics are all rated as 5's. They have some recipes in the back of the book too. I've also got 3 other cookbooks that have recipes that have been revamped (need to start trying them).
