i was in the thread about the favourite books. I laugh when you said that a specific author can be a bit dry and lengthy. I have never read anything by the author but i can understand what you mean. You have to bear him out to really appreciate him. I just laughed when i seen that statement, it was a good description.

Thanks....I see you read Auschwitz...Michener goes into some detail about concentration camps in the last 3rd of his book Poland. I want to read more about concentration camps and I think I will try Auschwitz next. Thanks for the info and welcome to CS... handshake

MB there maybe a lot of books on Auschwitz. I read the publication by Laurence Rees. First published 2005. He is a very researched author and has written many fine publications about ww2. Auschwitz is disturbing but it is essential reading. Its well worth the time spent reading it. If your an avid reader you should complete it in less than a week.
