Daniela ; Derived from the Hebrew Daniy'el, composed from dan "has judged," or from dayan, "judge," and the abbreviated form 'el from 'elohim, "God," with the meaning "God (therefore) has judged" or "my judge is God."
From the Spanish and Portuguese name Teresa. The meaning is uncertain, but it could be derived from Greek ?e??? (theros) "summer", from Greek ?e???? (therizo) "to harvest", or from the name of the Greek island of Thera (the main island of Santorini). A famous bearer was Maria Theresa, an Austrian Habsburg queen of the 18th century. She inherited the domains of her father, Charles VI, the Holy Roman Emperor, which began the War of the Austrian Succession.

I just have to add my name(s) here, the nick Icedman has been in my use for about.... 7 years (And I intend on using this nick as long as I live). The name comes from the fact that I wasn't all that good player of CS (No, not Connecting Singles, but Counter-Strike, a Half-Life mod) and I got killed all the time (Read: Iced). So there you go.
Now my real first name, Seppo, has it's roots in old Finnish mythos, if I remember correctly. (Yes, I checked wikipedia, at least the english entries seem to mention only the Kalevala mythos)
Seppo Ilmarinen, the Eternal Hammerer, blacksmith and inventor in the Kalevala, is an archetypal artificer from Finnish mythology. ("Seppo" is a popular boy's name and the Finnish word for smith "seppä" is derived from it, or vice versa.) Immortal, he is capable of creating practically anything, but is notoriously unlucky in love. He is described as working the known metals of the time, including brass, copper, iron, gold and silver. The great works of Ilmarinen include the crafting of the dome of the sky and the forging of the Sampo.
Could be that the name has even older history behind it, but I can't think of anything else but this part of Kalevala
