i guess i didnt really notice tyhis particular example
but sadly people are screwed up
and lots are 'afraid' to hurt someones feelings

me-the thing thats been hardest to accept about myself?
i am not psychic

i dunno what the other person is thinking
and its not the same for every person/situation anyway
so we cannot say oh these people are like this-the ones that do 'X'
because people have too much history and so too many variables
and personally i dont want to have only 3 or 4 kinds of people as possible mates-how would i choose? i prolly wouldnt want any of those-laugh

sometimes people feel fat
sometimes we move at a different speed than another
and have no skills to have a conversation about it

tons of possible reasons

very few people in my life have the weight
that i would take their remarks personally
i know who i am, and so do these friends
the new virtual people dont-and so im ok w/ rejection usually
unless im having a ensitive day-but my response is still my responsibility

i like the saying
(everybody together-*groooan*)

rejection is gods protection

i also am fond of saying
poofpoof on to the next

relax

I did the polite " i am not interested " and " maybe i cant stay in touch sorry " things. Some people dont get it. You just HAVE to ignore then.or worse block !!!

Its not out of malicious intent or to be rude but there is no other option.

Not necessarily. Depends on the situation. If everyone who didn't respond in a timely matter to an email was rude, that would be one helluva lot of rude people - probably the majority of people would be rude - in my experience.

Yes, I think so ......... or to make themselves feel better for their behaviour which caused the problem in the first place.

I think that many people forget that others have lives beyond these computers ..... sometimes life doesn't always enable us to spend countless hours writing and writing ........... and truly most of what is received is trivial at best - does it always warrant a response - no.

bribieshaman: Hi all,
Was just wondering what the general population think.

eg.

After a couple of emails back and forth. Is it rude for one person to just ingnore the others email.
And with site features the way they are, you can tell when people are online or have been online.

Just curious, thats all.

it is rude to ignore e-mails from people you have been corresponding

but if you asked tem nt to write, and ou ignore their mails, that is not rude
