Here's to Life!
Sum up a day, celebrate a year.
Remember heart-touching family & friends lost, cherish new friends gained.
The voices of your life speaking from every direction, uplifting high spirits to a vista upon a cloud.
The view is surprising, the time taken to appreciate this visual perception of beauty that is ones life worth every second, longing to see for eternity this light.
The faces of your life reflecting in your mind....youths bold expression ,the careless laughter and fits of sheer potential erupt gleefully! We wonder do we still have this spark? The recent memories of friends and family laughing uncontrollably..... because you were just being you....Decidedly so.
Coming of age......To a world filled with promises beyond obstacles tall and deep.....Where am I now?, I can't believe I've come this far concidering everything I've experienced. Am I happy with where I am? Does asking the question in itself hold insights to the answer? The road ahead is changing and each one of us is our own road crew paving our own way.
Finding our identity....The days are similar the nights are comforting. Our roles in life playing out to the beat of our personas. Metronome steady actions, emotions waver for reasons not for attention. We take everything in stride. Our strengths founding confidence yielding the way in, the way out, the way up, the way down and besides. We are constant and moving........
The Golden years....seem to be a space in time. Perhaps the memories that stand out the most. Is it the period of growth? Is it the period of gain? Can it be the longest stretch of perceivable near-perfect ebb and flow of analogue life rhythms experienced? I believe the golden years are the years where we remember where we came from, appreciate that which we have, and look forward to the most ahead of us....
We can't spend time with all of our loved ones even on the holidays. We can't share the same room when we are divided by virtual existence.
Lets take the time to raise a glass or a pint, and think of that gift that we have all been given to share together, and pass a blessing of joy and sadness, for having and lost, and having no matter what......to ourselves and those we love....tonight and forever.....
