I was just going over my past in my life and realized how many times I let someone else convince me to do something that I really did not want to do.
One time I had a neighbour who always asked me to babysit for her when she went out on the weekend, I do not like to look after other people's children but agreed to do it. After awhile I told her no, and she said why not, what else do you have to do. I ended up making up an excuse so that I did not have to babysit, and ended up going out when I just wanted to stay at home to make my lie real.
I am scared of heights. We had gone on vacation and stopped at Jasper. The people we went with wanted to go up into the mountains. We were walking and I did not want to get on the ltram but was kind of pushed on, I ended up sitting on the floor until we got to the top and after I got off I was not able to go up the trails in the mountains I just wanted to get back down. The next tram that came I got on, and swore I will never let anyone talk me into it again.
This is the last one I am going to tell. I was at the ex with my daughter and she wanted me to go on the roller coaster. As I have said I am scared of heights, but she convinced me to get on with her. I ended up closing my eyes and holding on so tight to the bar as I thought for sure I was going to fall out. I was so glad that it was over, and that was the first and last time I will ever go on a roller coaster.

I am really stubborn and really rebellious so it takes a really strong person to push me into anything. However i am sure there are incidents in the past when i have been pushed into something
One of the stupidest things I have done is get a phone call from my boyfriend in the middle of the night and end up getting up and going over there instead of telling him I am going back to sleep, good night.

I think some people see my helpfulness as a weakness. I tend to help anyone. however some have tried to take the pi** and ended up wondering what hit them.
I think many people see kind easy going people as people they can push around this is not always the case.
kitty01: depends if it worked, or you ended up saying what you knew should have been left unsaid.
If I've bit my tongue, then I've kept out of the mix of things... but for those who have managed to stir my piss & vinegar, they don't soon forget it. I even tend to get a few letters from friends who are just checking that it's safe to come by & say hi. LOL! (poor sweethearts)
In all my posting history, you will find only a couple of minor outbursts... That's usually enough spice to keep things "zesty" for a while.
But as Pili puts it(paraphrasing), good natured people tend to be easy targets.

I agree it is us good natured people that people think they can push around. I am told I am too nice, but people who say that don't really know me, as I will only take so much before I push back.
Am I the only one who... when pushed to the point of releasing the inner beast, is given that look(you know the one~ "OMG, how could you") . ...As if I'm supposed to still be skipping about in my Maryjanes, pigtails a flying in the wind. You know, you poke a sleeping bear hard enough, it wakes up... grumpy, at that.
(*sliding back OT...) Yes, there are so many assumptions people make on a daily basis. Perhaps that's why I try not to make them... but sometimes find I've done it anyway.

Oh I love that look, like well you did not have to act like that or talk that way.
